Green Tea

January 28, 2011

Aside from water, green tea is probably the beverage I consume the most. It’s so good for you! Not only does it lower cholesterol, decreases chances of heart disease and cancer, and relieve stress, but it is also associated with weight loss! That’s because green tea slightly increases your metabolic rate!

Now don’t run out and buy yourself a bunch of green tea thinking it is a miracle drug. You still need to maintain a healthy diet and regular fitness/exercise regime in order to lose or maintain weight. But, green tea just enhances everything. It definitely doesn’t hurt.

So the next time you find yourself reaching for that cup of coffee or can of soda, think twice. Replace your sweet and sugary beverages with pure green tea.

do you have a tip or trick so that it doesn’t turn out so gritty? Thats my biggest issue w/ green tea.. or maybe its just the kind of green tea I use?

Hi Melissa. What kind of green tea do you use? I don’t buy loose leaf. I just get the stuff in bags and have never had a “grit” issue.
