Parmesan and Herb Toasted Baguette Slices

Bread is the food of life, whether it be from a spiritual standpoint or simply a necessity standpoint; for so many people bread is the bare bones of a meal, of satiation, of satisfaction.

Although bread has been given a bad wrap because of its high carb load and fad diets like the Atkins diet, if one eats it in moderation and learns to appreciate it for what it is, there should be no reason to live and eat victoriously.

Tonight Jeff and I made steak salad accompanied by parmesan and herb toasted baguette slices. These baguette slices were so easy to make, there is no need for a recipe.

Simply slice a French baguette, spread the pieces out on a cookie sheet, dab each one with some extra virgin olive oil, and sprinkle parmesan cheese and herbs on them.

Bake at 375 degrees for about 12-15 minutes and voila. Easy peasy bread bites that you are sure to love.
